Gen Con 2024 Indy airport

Just landed in Indy for Gen Con 2024 and can I say that Indianapolis’s airport always feels very Exit Through the Giftshop to me? I love having a post/pre security section to chill if there’s some wait time involved.

But this time did remind me of the Banksy piece. And a slew of other things.

In any case, reading my friend Keith’s book — the one he told me he was proudest of (I don’t have the spacetime to consume all of the books and films and albums of all of my friends and colleagues these days, so I tend to ask for their proudest work). So far, its excellent:

2:49pm — I’m all badged up and full of tickets. Posted up to write a bit on the prequel to Bell Hammers.

4:30 — Never been one for posting food pics, probably because my buddy Mark 9 is… rather pro at it. Nevertheless, I tried the island noodles in the food truck block party (something I stumbled upon — had no idea there was food here, which… perhaps might be a messaging fumble?).

Those noodles are crazy good. Won’t have to worry about sweating out my salts.

Dropped off the first handwritten letter I’ve done in several years. As some of you know, I used to do a lot more pen pals here and life got rather crazy. My goal is to have at least a couple of the old standard back in the queue.

Gonna have to get a lot of things in order for that to work. But I’m going to get there.

Heading to my ride, still drafting some Bell Hammers sequel stuff, from there I’ll be crashing HARD cause this old boy was up at 4:20am NYC time.

Not that NYC is different than INDY time, but sometimes GARY has to interject, ISN’T THAT RIGHT GARY? NOW STAY IN THE CST CORNER AND THINK ABOUT WHAT TIME IT IS IN EST.

I need sleep.
