Tap and Die is a 90’s action story full of characters like Jack who use wands and lava gloves and slugs instead of guns on the set of an epic fantasy world. Black Jack bypassed the other floors in the stairwell and, following the faint sound of voices, emerged on the fiftieth floor. He ducked down behind a series of long, low, wood-skirted coffee tables that followed a series of wavy benches all throughout the hall. Other than his hat and the yellow stone within, he was still naked as a skinned skinny snake.

From a crouched position, he heard the dickering of the Klūman man in black over what exactly they had gathered to do. He heard the arguing with the seventeen ambassadors, and heard when the man in black asked for the poem to the Common Realm strongroom. 

 

Jack then pulled out his Crowfoot and pointed the sharpened leg bone toward the rest of the room.

 

Hēme, he could see from his vantage, was standing up to the man.
