Clean Inbox? Remember that Emails Compound — A Formula

If you want a clean inbox, you need to remember that emails compound.

Which is why I whipped up this bogus formula for you to keep in mind in your quest to get a clean inbox:

EVERY EMAIL SENT GENERATES ONE HALF EMAIL RECEIVED AND, IF RESPONDED TO, GENERATES ANOTHER ONE HALF FOR “T” NUMBER OF THREADS.

I = E (1 + .5/E) (ET)

Where:

  • I = inbox
  • E = sent emails
  • T = total threads

Email with care, friends, if you want a clean inbox.
