Starlings NYC has met since 2016 which is, as of 2023, seven years ago. I figured we would start keeping track of “house points.” As in 10 points for Griffyndor. There’s a writers group near you — what if they kept track of group points?

Only in this case, it’s sales. And we’ll do it in blocks of ten per word. So if someone in your group sells a story, poem, or essay for 1¢ per word, it’ll be 10 points for your team.

Your group rises and falls together.

If you have a writing group in your city, comment below with your updated per-word sale, the publication, the year, and your group name and I’ll add you to the running list. We’re doing this for local in-person groups only to encourage in-person participation. So no merely online groups allowed.
