Fiona Perreault. For the Unknown.

For The Unknown

 I want the late-night calls
I want the nights where we’re not sure who fell asleep first but we wake up together
I want the times where you show up at my door without warning
I want to know what songs get stuck in your head
But I don’t who you are yet
I just know you’re out there
I know you’ve known me for a long time now
I know we share a friend
And I hope you’re reading this
Because this is a love letter to you
 For the unknown person
I hope you are reading this for the same reason I write it
Because I may be falling for a cruel twist of fate
But it could be the greatest love story ever told

 So to the unknown person,
I encourage you to have a little faith
And I will be waiting here,
Ready for one of those late-night calls
