Other Announcements & Recent Work

1

For those that frequent the published works page, you’ll notice that in the midst of all this copywriting and editing, I’ve sold two more short stories and an article slated for next year. If I keep up these short stories, I’ll end up getting disqualified from the Writer’s of the Future contest, but I guess I can’t complain…

You’ll also notice that two pieces are due out. “No Room” was just released through Encounter and Slice of Life, the transmedia iPad book for which I wrote a ballad, is slated for December. I can say that I just beta tested the iPad app and it looks/sounds pretty darn good. Keep an eye out for that.

Finally, some of you may have noticed that Cold Brewed content was taken down from the site. This is because we’re turning Cold Brewed into an iPad book! Go here to see a slideshow preview.

Love you, gang. More to come…

Hi Lance. Congrats on your recent publishing successes. Your list is certainly growing.

Thanks, Helen. Yeah it’s hard to fit my own personal writing (fiction/nonfiction) into the mornings, but even the consistency of an hour of personal writing every day is building more credibility in the realm of publishing credits.

      How’s your own work?

Hi Lance. Yes, you are right – even the consistency of an hour is better than not at all, as well as being good for your creative soul. Thanks for asking about my current work. Currently I am busy promoting my new children’s Christmas picture book that I co-wrote with another children’s author, so trying to fit in some time each day on working on my own work. Otherwise the promotion and marketing could just take over. All the best.

Yeah, it takes time to do the promo work and distribution as all of that–especially for self-pubbers. I’m enjoying the mornings, but I’m to the point where I need to hire an editor often (side note: never offer a service you’re unwilling to pay for yourself and never buy a service unless you have a working knowledge of what goes on. Hiring editors better than me teaches me just as much about editing as it does about the work in question).

In any case, I’m super excited for this cowritten work and hope to high heaven it picks up in the markets you’re swimming around in. Thanks so much for the comment!
