I recently noticed a void in women’s poetry anthologies and… it has really started to bug me because of the way Major League (Merrill Lee Girardeau) basically held this place together with bubblegum and paperclips during the Showbear pandemic days — without women poets like MLG, the world is much worse for the wear. I figure the best way to celebrate and encourage women like Major League is a women’s poetry anthology.
