Snow in Summer, New Article, and a return from my Hobbit Hole

For those who have followed me on here, you know that my blog has waned of late. Though I blame being out-of-town for six weekends in a row, two weeks in the middle, lots of new business and other fancy schmancy projects, deep down I know I’ve a lot of catching up to do for the literating diaspora at large.

(For those that don’t know, I call people who follow this blog “literators.” Literators tend to be passionate people who liberate words and thoughts about imagery or philosophy they see in films, literature, art, and the world at large, though they could just be general nerds. They also like to learn. A whole bunch).

Aaanyways, there are like eight posts coming that’ll update you on all the cool happenings at Schaubert Abbey. It snowed at the tail end of Spring/beginning of summer here in Joplin:

So naturally I turned her loose again:

Those brand new wooden boards at the end of the .gif are the fixed part of the fence from where the tree hit our house a year and a half ago.

She came inside and her winter coat had accumulated these weird snowballs:

I guess the freezing point was perfect for clumping or something? This particular frolic through the backyard ended up dropping ice-cube cluster bombs all over the house before I finally noticed. How did I noticed? I stepped on a freezing puddle of water, shouted in surprise, and caught her. She’s fast.

I’m faster.

Took like fifteen minutes to get all of them out and some ended up melting on her sheepskin bed anyways.

New one on me.

I just published another article. This one’s over at Red Letter Christians (I know some of you aren’t into that sort of thing, so no pressure — don’t get minority anxiety on me and peace out, because I still love the diversity of followers here). The article’s called:

Chat Rooms and Discussion Boards:

How Understanding the Internet Changed My Relationships

Hope you find it enjoyable.

Hugs, kisses, and ice-cube cluster bombs,
