Let’s do a photo competition for some ridiculous prizes. We’ll make it simple.
Prizes:
- 1 copy of the tragic version of Bell Hammers that was so dark it kept one pro reviewer up all night, so dark my bride begged me not to publish it. Only like six of these exist. I’ll sign it.
- 1 copy of the New Haven Review, signed, in which the excerpt of Bell Hammers originally appeared.
- 50 free copies of the Bell Hammers audiobook on Spotify.
- 5 copies of the first chapter of the Spanish translation, signed.
- A signed copy of one of the first short stories I ever sold over a decade ago, an original copy in the original magazine.
- A wax-sealed, handwritten letter by me.
- A bunch of other cool stuff. I promise not to make it lame.
Guidelines:
- Take a photo of you with a copy of my book. The cover of my book on your e-reader is fine. If you don’t have a hard copy, procure one of Bell Hammers, Harry Rides the Danger, Tap and Die, Least of These Least, The Greenwood Poet, Of Gods and Globes 2.
- If there are enough photos, we’ll make categories and sort them. Most creative. Most dangerous. Most beautiful. Best diorama. Most most. Etc. Get wild, just no nudity or gore please. Keep it PG-13.
- SHARE IT ON A SOCIAL PLATFORM, MAILING LIST, OR WITH TEN FRIENDS AND FAMILY VIA TEXT. Please include the link to this post so others can know to enter. #lancelotphotocontest if that’s still a thing.
- If you use Ai, please note it. I’ll be cordoning those in the corner.
- If you’re fluent in Spanish, please let me know for the sake of prizes.
- Reduce the size to 2mb.
- Email it to lancelot.photocontest@gmail.com. Don’t send it to my primary email, that many photos will go full Death Star on my inbox. Please don’t go full Death Star on my inbox.
- Contest ends at midnight on my birthday, April 30th.
