In The Encounter Stories, I assembled four literary shorts written for the young adult audience of the magazine “Encounter.” Three of these stories were published in past years, one I wrote specifically for this collection ::

In That Director, he explores the humanity of the celebrity artists we both idolize and demonize and in Enough is Enough, the heart behind a minister’s petty rules is exposed through a house fire.
To the stories previously published in Encounter magazine, Lance has added an original story named Into Your Own Orbit, which – through the eyes of a seven-year-old Indian girl – deals with the ways we flail in trying to find ourselves. And the kind life we discover the moment we stop hoarding our control.
