Today’s issue of small stories for kids comes from Dante:
One day Dante wakes up. He eats and he drinks. Once he’s done he gets dressed.
He then gets in his vehicle: an emergency SUV! He has to check if the animals are hurt or sick. Any hurt or sick animals he has to rush back to the emergency center.
At the emergency center, Dr. Daddy waits for new patients. This day, Dante has brought back a lioness and her hurt cub.
Dr. Daddy clears the exam table.
Dante and Dr. Daddy gently lift the cub onto the exam table.
Dr. Daddy turns on his exam light. He says, “This lion cub has an injured paw. It appears to be sprained and is not getting better. We have to help him.”
To help the lion cub, Dr. Daddy wraps a bandage around and around the paw. The cub then purrs and meows to say thanks for the help.
They keep the lioness and the cub at the emergency center until the paw gets better. Dante observes how the cub walks to make sure it heals. Dante then takes the lion cub and lioness back to their pride.
