My 2012 Shortlist

Hey gang,

I want close contact with you guys and your opinions, so here’s a short poll and the 2012 shortlist. It’s all small change to look forward to. Here’s the shortlist:

10. A Fragged List

9. In-depth analysis of the nigreddo & albedo of Name of the Wind, Wise Man’s Fear and a prediction list of what’s to come in Doors of Stone (or whatever book three of Kingkiller will be called).

8. More book recommendations AND book quarantines as well as monograms for Jillian Dodd, Chase Goostree and others…

7. My Alchemical Wedding – a series of YouTube vids unveiling the symbolism of my wedding ceremony, complete with our wedding soundtrack by the FABULOUS Gretchyn Lauer

6. MORE stories from regular people who are experts in their fields. These will take the form of news features rather than interview scripts from here on out. Sorry to drag ‘em out prior to now, but I’ve learned some things.

5. Live(?) reporting on the Occupy Joplin group, for good or bad.

4. Experiementation with a cook book my grandma hand-wrote and photocopied a couple of Christmases ago in a series called something like “Just like Grandma used to make.” They’re awesome recipes and I’d love to share them in the impulsive pastimes section with all y’all. (That’s the first and last time I use that phrase on here).

3. As you can tell, I’m a list guy. I hope to find new ways to make reading through a list fun and insightful WHILE adding five or so more lists that I work on in private. I figure if I’m knockin’ ‘em down, why not let you know?

[imagine your own cheesy picture of a checklist, the kind I abhor]

2. Key, Parengo and Roundtable productions partnered together for a comedic web series called 64 Squares. It’s about chess and I think we might have some things you’ve never seen. Look for it in the coming weeks!

1. Get a book on the shelves. I want to give you regulars something to read outside of this blog and a rabbit hunt for random articles…

Oh, and those two crappy books I self-pubbed as a junior in college. We’ll see what emerges…

PS> Be sure to give your spare change to the $137,000 we’ve already raised as a team for Worldbuilders!
